Ownership Transfer

If the Owner of a .sm domain name wants to give it to a new Owner, the actual Owner has to send to the Registration Authority a signed document that certifies the will of the transfer. There isn't a specific module so it can be written in self-declaration format.
At the same time the new Owner has to proceed to a new registration of the .sm domain name, as if it is a new domain name. For more information about registration see the Registration page.
Remember that the registration of a new .sm domain name must always occur through an authorized Reseller, so the whole transfer operation has to be made by the new Reseller of the new Owner that has to send to the Registration Authority the whole necessary documentation. Contact your Reseller or check its web site for more informations.

Delete

To delete a .sm domain name, the Owner must ask it to its Reseller that will submit the request to the Registration Authority. Contact your Reseller or check its web site for more informations.
A delete request puts the .sm domain in Grace Period status for 15 days, in which only the actual Reseller of the domain name can reactivate it and only for the actual Owner, submitting documents as for a new registration, that is a new LAR and a new MRE. After the 15 days of Grace Period the domain name is definitely deleted and returns available for a new registration.
